Two-day tour of Northern England and the Scottish Borders

May 6: Coronation Day. While most of the nation is inside watching the great event, I'll be out enjoying some of the best roads in the UK with my old Bike magazine colleague Simon Hargreaves while there's hardly any traffic – and we'd love you to join us!

From a meeting point in the North of England, a carefully planned route will take us on some of our favourite roads to our favourite hotel, the bike-friendly Buccleuch Arms in Moffat – which is exclusively ours for the night. Accommodation includes breakfast and two-course evening meal – with an after-dinner talk / banter from Mr Hargreaves and myself... come armed with questions, not bread rolls.

The next day sees more riding – great roads through the Borders before we turn south and reach our afternoon stop back in England, from which everyone makes their own way home. That's a proper way to spend the weekend, rather than watching the coronation.

You can come on your own, with a mate or a pillion or even in a small group - but there is an overall limit to the number of people we can fit into the hotel.
